Spring Sense | Pink Sugar

Pink Sugar has been around for a while, and I’ve been looking for a more cost effective everyday scent – my current everyday scent is Marc Jacobs Daisy. Daisy of course has floral notes, but I felt like I needed something a little lighter, more spring-y, and more playful for the daily. I was able to find the Pink Sugar kit complete with shower gel and body lotion at Shoppers Drug Mart for $22. Just to compare, the same perfume bottle size at 50ml retails at Sephora for $49 sans the extras. Don’t worry Sephora, this ain’t a knock against you, I still love you and also picked up my go-to Verb shampoo and conditioner. More on this later.

For now, here’s a little more info on Pink Sugar:

Tapping into the smells from your inner childhood, Pink Sugar mixes familiar aromas to create delicious olfactory experiences (cotton candy, anyone?) that aren’t easily forgotten. Just like your earliest memories and the things that remind you of them, Pink Sugar fragrances grab you out of adult life and throw you back to the good old days when life was so darn sweet.
Notes:
Bergamot, Sicilian Orange, Raspberry, Fig Leaves, Lily of the Valley, Licorice, Strawberry, Red Fruit, Cotton Candy, Vanilla, Caramel, Musk, Wood, Powder.
Style:
Playful. Mischievous. Romantic.

Summer Essentials | Espadrilles

The heat wave is upon us in Toronto, and what better way to celebrate than by hitting up a beach, hanging out with loved ones, or by walking around in some beautiful espadrilles?!!

Did you know that the most primitive form of espadrilles date as far back as 4000 years ago?! The existence of espadrilles in Europe is documented since at least 1322, when it was described for the first time with its current Catalan name, and they were mainly made in France and Spain.

So, when my parents recently traveled to Spain my one request was for a pair of these babies! My mom found these for me, and also gave me this lovely purse to wear with my new shoes. Thanks, mom and dad!!!!!

My summer essentials are complete for 2018!

Throwback Thursday | Belfountain

La familia lo es todo.

After a cold brisk walk to and from work today, I couldn’t help but reminisce about warmer and sunnier memories like our family outing last summer to Belfountain. It was an epic day filled with walking, exploring, and eating cookie dough ice cream. I couldn’t have asked for a better day. I’m definitely counting down the days to this summer – for more family-filled adventures!

Stay tuned. I’ll be posting more family fun updates because I can’t help it, these two make my heart explode!
